Reynoldsburg dentist installed as Ohio Dental Association speaker of the house

Dr. Denise Hering of Reynoldsburg was installed as speaker of the house of the Ohio Dental Association on Oct. 1 during the ODA’s House of Delegates meeting.
In her role as speaker of the house, Hering will serve on the ODA’s Executive Committee overseeing the management of the association throughout the next year.
Hering is a general dentist in private practice in Reynoldsburg and is also an assistant professor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She earned her BS degree from Purdue University and her DDS degree from The Ohio State University.
She served as the ODA’s vice speaker of the House of Delegates from 2014-2017. She is a past president of the Columbus Dental Society, past chair of the ODA Dental Education and Licensure Committee, and a current member of the ODA’s Leadership Development Committee. She is Ohio’s Deputy Regent for the International College of Dentists and is a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the National Association of Parliamentarians.
The Ohio Dental Association represents more than 5,000 member dentists, nearly 70% of the state’s licensed dentists. ODA member dentists provide more than $40 million in donated care and services annually, and they are bound by the highest ethical standards and have access to superior ongoing education, training and resources.
