Ohio Dental Association members are very fortunate. There are numerous benefits of membership, far too many to adequately illustrate. One example is the upcoming ODA Annual Session, taking place Sept. 13-16 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, near the Short North area. I have been to various dental meetings over the years, and I can honestly say that this year’s annual meeting is TRULY first-rate, really superb. The line-up of speakers and continuing education courses are varied and excellent. To name just a few, we have Dr. Gordon Christensen; Dr. Charles Blair; Dr. Roger Levin; Dr. Howard Farran; Judy Bendit, RDH (who has presented at over 300 programs); Betsy Reynolds, RDH, MS; and many MORE. In fact, I feel that I could list the entire agenda of speakers, as they are all exceptional sources of CE.
There are many MORE reasons to attend this year’s Annual Session meeting. If you are looking to purchase equipment and/or dental supplies, you will be able to find the latest and greatest at the Exhibit Hall. There will be more than 200 exhibitors. This year, there will be two new events, offering more than last year. For example, there is the Knowledge Bar and Fireside Chats. The Knowledge Bar will provide an opportunity to learn about digital marketing and patient scheduling products; high tech 3-D printers and scanners; and ODASC-endorsed products. The Fireside Chats will offer talks on various topics for free CE.
And there is much MORE! You might enjoy yoga in the morning and multiple receptions throughout the day, just to mention a couple of choices.
MATCH – looking for an associate, a job or thinking of selling or buying a dental practice, look no further than MATCH @ ODA Annual Session on Sept. 15.

One of my favorite reasons to attend the ODA Annual Session is to see my friends and colleagues in a fun, relaxed, collegial atmosphere.
There are MORE reasons to visit the Annual Session. There are numerous great restaurants in the Short North area.
I am humbled and honored to be the president of the Ohio Dental Association, and I would love to see my friends and colleagues at The Callahan Celebration of Excellence. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your spouse and staff to an exceptional Callahan where we recognize Ohio dentists and others who have made exemplary efforts on behalf of the profession. The event includes dinner and music provided by a great and lively group, Soul Pocket.
I have illustrated only a small example of the speakers, CE, Exhibit Hall offerings and plain fun offered at the 2018 ODA Annual Session. Check out the Annual Session program for MORE, much MORE information.
Remember, MORE Engagement = MORE Achievement.
See you in September.
