Receiving a clear, concise explanation of the terms of a provider contract may help you decide if participating with such a plan is best for you and your patients. It may also help you avoid unpleasant surprises under the contract in the future. Our Contract Analysis service is an exclusive ODA-Member benefit.
The ODA has many contract analyses already on file that can be sent to dentists immediately, and for those contracts not already on file, the ODA will send them to the ADA for analysis and will return the analysis upon completion.
Types of Contracts Analyzed
The ADA Contract Analysis Service will provide you with information concerning a proposed contract so you can better understand and analyze its terms. The service analyzes:
- Dental provider contracts with PPOs, insurance companies, or other third-party payers.
- Dental management service organization contracts.
- Contracts that offer dental school students scholarships or loans in exchange for a commitment for future employment.
Members can utilize this service at no charge as a benefit of membership by submitting the following documents through the Ohio Dental Association prior to signing the proposed contract:
- A copy of your unsigned contract, and
- An analysis request.
