We are governed by our House of Delegates, which speaks on behalf of our members, and managed by our Executive Committee, which is elected by our members.
Our committees and councils support the goals and objectives of the ODA by recommending policies and overseeing programs that are related to their specific areas of expertise.
House of Delegates
The House of Delegates is the Ohio Dental Association’s governing body and is the supreme authority in the ODA. The House of Delegates is made up of representatives from each component society and speaks on behalf of our member dentists.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is the managing body of the association and is vested with the power to conduct all business of the association as well as the mandates from the House of Delegates.
Committees and Councils
There are 18 committees and councils of the association that work to support the goals and objectives of the association.
Bylaws and Governance Policies
The conduct of the association’s operations and management is governed by its Bylaws and other governance policies.
Component Dental Societies
Local component dental societies are one part of the ODA tripartite structure. There are 24 regional component societies that serve all 88 Ohio counties. Component dental societies provide regional networking and educational opportunities for members.
