- We advocate to protect dentists from unnecessary government intrusion, fight unfair insurance practices and frivolous lawsuits, and improve access to quality, comprehensive dental care for patients in Ohio. One recent advocacy success is that after years of aggressive lobbying, in 2023 the state significantly increased the dental Medicaid budget.
- We are working on initiatives to improve the dental workforce shortage in Ohio, including an ongoing radio campaign to increase interest in careers in dental hygiene and assisting.
- We build relationships with legislators, regulatory agencies, the Ohio Department of Health, insurance companies, state policymakers and others so that we can represent the best interests of dentists.
