Traffic updates for Annual Session attendees
Annual Session attendees need to be aware of several traffic updates as they travel to Columbus this week. The following ongoing improvement projects may affect travel:
Closure of South Garage on Nationwide Boulevard
(This garage is attached to the Hyatt Regency and the Convention Center)
The popular parking garage for convention attendees and guests of the Hyatt Regency Columbus is currently undergoing improvements and is expected to be closed during the ODA Annual Session. Guests of the Hyatt may choose to valet at the hotel, or self-park in other downtown lots including the Chestnut Street Garage. Attendees driving to Annual Session daily may opt to park in the East Lot, just east of the South Garage. The ODA will be offering free morning shuttles from the East Lot to the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) Connector from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. West/Vine Street Garage
The GCCC’s West Garage located on Vine Street continues to be the most convenient place to park for attendees driving to Annual Session daily. However, beginning this week the City of Columbus has changed the traffic pattern of streets around the garage. Vine Street is now a one-way street heading east and nearby Spruce Street is a one-way street heading west. All five entries to the West Garage will be open, including those from North Front Street and Convention Center Drive as well as the Vine Street entrance. The yellow parking flyer included in the pre-registration packet is still a handy guide to identify you as an ODA Annual Session attendee for ease in directing you to available parking spaces. Interstate Construction
The I-71/670 interchange near downtown Columbus continues to be under construction. Areas of I-71 north and south of Columbus are also under construction. Visit www.pavingtheway.org for more information.
